Rossiyskaya Gazeta reviewed the findings of a study conducted by the Gaidar Institute’s International Best Practices Analysis Department on the state of the carbon credit market in Russia. The article has been submitted for peer review to an academic journal.

TASS reviewed issue No. 21 (203) of the analytical review “Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook,” prepared by Ilya Sokolov, Leading Researcher at the Gaidar Institute. The study “Sustainability of Regional Budgets is Beyond Doubt” is devoted to analyzing the execution of the consolidated budget of the subjects of the Russian Federation for the first seven months of 2025. The study notes a decline in budgetary balance in the regions compared to the same period last year.

At the 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), during the session “Platforms and the State: Effective Partnership for Regional Development,” Avito Managing Director Vlad Fedulov, referring to research data from the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise (CEE) study ”The Role, Development and Regulation of Digital Platforms in the Market for Paid Consumer Services in Russia”, noted significant growth in the market for paid consumer services in Russia. This was reported by the publication Vedomosti.

The RT has reviewed the issue No.15(197), of the Monitoring of Russia’s economic outlook "The US trade policy: current situation and prospects", prepared by Alexander Knobel, Senior Researcher at the International Trade Department of the Gaidar Institute, and Olga Ponomareva, Expert at the Economic Policy Found. The study is devoted to the analysis of the current US trade policy in the context of new tariffs introduced by the Donald Trump administration against more than 60 countries.

The TASS has reviewed the issue  No.14(196), 2025 of the analyst survey ”Monitoring of Russia’s economic situation”, prepared by the International Trade Department of the Gaidar Institute. Alexander Knobel and Alexander Firanchuk, Senior Researchers, have analyzed Russia’s international trade in the first 5 months of the current year in a report called “Russia’s international trade in January-May 2025: commodity turnover with China has reduced.”

Researchers from the Gaidar Institute’s Quantitative Analysis of Economic Effects Department have prepared a new issue of the analytical review “Monitoring of Rusia’s Economic Outlook”, the conclusions of which were reviewed by TASS. The study is devoted to the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy in the period from 2022 to 2025 and its adaptation to the new environment.

A study by the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise at the Gaidar Institute “Discounts on Marketplaces. Regulatory Scenarios with Economic Justification” showed that the optimal size of a discount on marketplaces set by a marketplace should not exceed 10%, otherwise sellers begin to evaluate the situation negatively.

Experts from the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise of the Gaidar Institute presented a study “Shadow Employment: The Role of Digital Platforms in Ligalizing the Market”, the conclusions of which were reviewed by Vedomosti. The study analyzes the market of hidden leased labor in Russia and the role of digital employment platforms (DEPs) in its legalization.

The TASS, referring to «Monitoring of the Russia’s economic situation», prepared by experts of the Gaidar Institute, reports that Russia’s primary and secondary income balance in Q1 2025 was -$5.4 bn, up 54% y-o-y.
