This is to present to you a new episode of the Gaidar Institute's podcast "Economy on Air" In the 5^th episode "Regional integration: hidden framework of global trade" Olga Ponomareva, expert at the Economic Policy Foundation, spoke about current development of regional agreements and their impact on the future of the global trading system.

The “New Literary Review” Publishers has released a collection of journal articles by Egor Timurovich Gaidar “Two Civilizations” – the second volume in the series “Library of the Journal ‘Untouchable Reserve’”. The collection was compiled by Viktor Yaroshenko with the support of the Yegor Gaidar Heritage Foundation.

The Pchela media published an excerpt from Alasdair MacIntyre's book «A Short History of Ethics». The publication presents an excerpt from a chapter, where one of the 20^th century's leading moral philosophers analyzes the ideas of German thinkers. The publication coincides with the Russian release of A. MacIntyre's classic work (1966), translated by the Gaidar Institute Publishing House.

On February 7 (Saturday) at 7:00 PM, the Dal philosophical bookstore in St. Petersburg will host a lecture/presentation entitled "The History of Ethics: MacIntyre's View" in collaboration with the Gaidar Institute Press.

The Gaidar Institute's Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes Department conducted a study entitled “The Relationship Between Industrial Robots, Labor Shortages, and Labor Productivity in Russian Regions.” The article has been accepted for review by a scientific journal, and detailed conclusions from the study have been published by Forbes.

Presentation of Alasdair MacIntyre’s book “A brief History of Ethics” (1966) will take place on February 9 at 19.00 in the Library of the Gaidar Institute.

In issue No. 6 (2025, vol. 20) of the journal Economic Policy published an article by Antonina Levashenko, Head of the Laboratory for Analysis of Best International Practices at the Gaidar Institute, and Sergey Sinelnikov-Murylev, Senior Research Fellow at the Gaidar Institute, on the current challenges of the digital economy in the field of personal data.

Researchers of the Gaidar Institute’s International Best Practices Analysis Department prepared the next issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy №12(24),December 2025 where they talked about new trends in the development of regulation of the digital economy in the world.

On January 15, 2026, Nina Grigorievna Glavatskaya passed away at the age of 83. She was Head of the Editorial and Publishing Department at the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the editor-in-chief of all works published by the Institute for more than 30 years.

On December the 30^th , the 6^th issue of Economic Policy was available for readers. Economic Policy is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal established by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in 2006.
