On March 21, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Sergey Mikhailovich Drobyshevsky, Doctor of Economics and Principal Researcher at the Gaidar Institute, was honored with the International Leontief Medal “For Contributions to Economic Reform.” This prestigious award was presented for his outstanding contributions to the theory and practice of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, as well as for his development of key directions in the economic, monetary, fiscal, and tax policies of the Russian Federation.

March 23, 2026, marks the 95^th anniversary of the birth of distinguished scholar, a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and principal researcher at the Gaidar Institute, Revold Mikhailovich Entov.

On March the 13^th , the 1^st issue of Economic Policy was available for readers. Economic Policy is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal established by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in 2006.

The Library on Gazetny, formerly known as the Shaninka Library, announces that it will continue its activities in a new format. Despite the name change, the institution retains its mission and remains an open space for intellectual development and academic exchange.

Natalia Antonenko, Researcher at the Gaidar Institute's Quantitative Analysis of Economic Effects Department, shared her opinion on the Gaidar Institute Press new release for 2026 — the book ”Alibaba. Infrastructuring Global China” by Hong Shen. In her review, the expert evaluates the author's academic approach to analyzing the success story of the Chinese technology giant, notes the strengths of the publication, and identifies issues that remain outside the scope of the study but are important for understanding the scale and specifics of the transformation of the global digital economy.
