On April 12, Оlga Magomedova, an expert at the Best International Practice Analysis Department, Gaidar Institute, took part in the 21st "Blischenkov Readings" International Congress. In her report "The Impact of Climate Change on Interstate Relations," the expert presented the results of an analysis of the ambiguous provisions of the 2023 climate and security agreement between Australia and Tuvalu.

Gaidar Institute Press has published a new book by Shoshana Zuboff: "Surveillance Capitalism or Democracy? The Confrontation of Institutional Orders and the Politics of Knowledge in Our Information Civilization." Andrey Zubarev, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Gaidar Institute’s Digital Finance Research Department, shared his opinion on the ideas outlined in the book.

Andrei Polbin, Head of the Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes Department at the Gaidar Institute, spoke at the 25th Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. In his report "Analysis of fiscal multipliers for the Russian economy on the basis of DSGE-model with preferences of Jaimovich and Rebelo" the expert analyzed under what conditions an increase in government spending has the greatest stimulating effect on economic activity.

Researchers of the Gaidar Institute’s International Best Practices Analysis Department prepared the next issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy №3(15), March 2025 where they talked about new trends in the development of regulation of the digital economy in the world.

On April 14, Alexey Zamnius, Researcher at the Gaidar Institute’s Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes Department, took part in the International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduates and Young Scholars "Lomonosov-2025." The event is held to develop the creative activity of students, postgraduates and young researchers, to involve them in solving urgent problems of modern science, to preserve and develop a unified international scientific and educational space, and to establish contacts between future colleagues.

On April 4, Lubov Filin, Head of the Gaidar Institute’s Evidence-Based Regulatory Department, took part in the 9th St. Petersburg International Labor Forum. The event brought together representatives of the professional community, government, business, education, scientific institutions, and trade unions to discuss key issues of the labor market, staffing, and the formation of a common labor market in the CIS countries.

Vladimir Mau, Director of Center for Political Economy and Institutional Changes at the Gaidar Institute, expressed his opinion about a book by Jonathan Haskel and Stian Westlake "Restarting the Future: How to Fix the Intangible Economy" issued by the Gaidar Institute Publishing House.

On April 7, Alexey Vedev, leading researcher at the Financial Research Department of the Gaidar Institute, was appointed Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The journal Perm University Herald. Economy published an article by Andrey Polbin and Elizaveta Martyanova of the Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes, analyzing theoretical approaches to the impact of information technologies and artificial intelligence on economic growth.
