On 8 February 2016, Director of Gaidar Institute’s Centre for Structural Research Mikhail Khromov was interviewed at the RBC-TV on the revoked banking license of mid-sized Intercommerz Bank.

Gaidar Institute has taken 31st place among 88 top think tanks in Central and Eastern Europe in the 2015 Global Go to Think Tanks ranking list, which is conducted by the University of Pennsylvania.

On 4 February the Head of the Industrial Surveys Laboratory took part in the TVC program “Right to Speak” where they discussed anti-crisis plan of the government.

Russia’s Vedomosti business daily published on 4 February an article  (“A flat run”) of Head of the Foreign Trade Department Alexander Knobel  in collaboration with Andrei Lipinin, Deputy Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The article analyses the effectiveness of relaxing non-tariff barriers within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

On 2 February senior researcher Yuri Zaitsev took part in an online conference “Anti-crisis plan: second attempt” held by FINAM.ru

On 21 January Head of the Empirical Financial Studies Department Andrei Simonov in an interview to TVRain deliberated on the way culture affects economy and on other secrets of behavioral economics and why bad times are the best for the implementation of reforms.

On 20 January Head of World Trade Department took part in a program “PRAV!DA” on ORT TV channel where they discussed the outcome of the Gaidar Forum held on 13-15 January.

On 19 January, the Vedomosti daily carried an article: Reforms Will Never Be Popular by Ivan Lyubimov, Senior Researcher. The article deals with problems related to investments in human capital.

Within the frameworks of the VII Gaidar Forum – 2016 Russia and the World: Looking into the Future held on 13-15 January 2016, employees of the Gaidar Institute held a number of panel and expert discussions at which the issues of economic growth, food security, foreign trade, monetary policy and other were discussed.

Over the period 11–15 January 2016, the International Fiscal Sustainability Department of the Gaidar Institute and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), headed by Professor of Economics at Boston University Laurence J. Kotlikoff, held a series of scientific seminars at the Gaidar Institute, dedicated to the issues associated with the creation of general equilibrium models.

15 January was the third and final day of the international conference – Russia and the World: Looking to the Future – within the frameworks of the Gaidar Forum – 2016.
