Books by  Gaidar Institute’s publishing house are presented at the Non/FictionNo18 International Fair (booth K-4) which is held on 30 November-4 December 2016.

On 30 November, the Vedomosti daily carried an article: “Who Needs Barriers” by Alexander Knobel, Head of the Foreign Trade Department. The article deals with processes of the Eurasian economic integration.

On 28 November, This is Caucasus Web-site carried an interview by Irina Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development. The interview was dedicated to the outputs of the research carried out jointly by  Gaidar Institute and the RANEPA’s Center for Regional and Urban Studies into the values of Dagestan’s mainstream society.

On 24 November, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department took part in the meeting dedicated to the legislation on non-profit organizations.

On 24 November, Sergei Prikhodko, Executive Director took part in the annual 2016 Gaidar-Naumann Forum: Russia, Germany and Eastern Europe: Relations in the Transformation Period which was held in Berlin.

On 23 November, Dergei Zhavoronkov, Senior Researcher took part in the program: Levchenko. Rakurs on the RBK-TV in which the issue whether Ukraine could expect renewal of economic growth amid domestic and external challenges was discussed.

Gaidar Institute and the RANEPA have prepared their findings on the federal draft law on the Federal Budget for 2017 and the 2018-2019 Planning Period.

On 16 November, Irina Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development took part in a round table: The Values of Dagestan’s Muslims at which the outputs of the research into the values of the Dagestan’s community were presented.

Issue No.18(36), 2016 of the analytical review – The Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook. Trends and Challenges of the Social and Economic Development – was published. The goal of the above review is to follow current trends and changes in the Russian economy.

On 11 November, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department took part in a round table: The Market of University Endowments in Russia: Trends and Prospects sponsored by the Russian Research Institute of Economics, Politics and Law in R&D.

On 11 November, the Gaidar Readings: Development of Regions and the Economic Policy in Present-Day Conditions were held in Barnaul.

The Logus magazine published by  Gaidar Institute’s Publishing House was included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, ESCI.

On 24 October, Natalia Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Development Department gave an interview in the Ugol Zrenia program on the Sol radio station in which the consequences of introduction of the social parasitism tax in Russia were discussed.

On 24 October, in his interview to the Kommersant-FM Mikhail Khromov, Director of the Structural Research Center told about the consequences the banking sector may face due to further appreciation of the ruble.

On 20 October, Sergei Tsukhlo, Head of the Business Surveys Department took part in the meeting on Economic Policy Centers of the Dispute Club of the Association of Russian Economic Think-Tanks (ARETT). The meeting was dedicated to the topic: The State of the Real Sector: When Does Growth Begin?
