On 19 June, leading researcher at the Gaidar Institute, Alexey Vedev, took part in the program “Dengi. Pryamaya liniya” (“Money. Live”) on Dozhd TV channel, where the consequences of tightened sanctions, as well as the policy of import substitution, were discussed.

On 4-7 June, having been invited by the Regional Studies Association to participate in the international conference The Great Regional Awakening: New Directions in Dublin, Ireland, researchers from the Innovation Economics Department of the Gaidar Institute took part in the Conference's sessions.

On 13 June,  Gaidar Institute senior researcher Sergey Zhavoronkov participated in the program “Vremya Pokazhet” (“Time Will Tell”) on the First Channel, where the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy was discussed.

On 6–7 June,  Gaidar Institute Executive Director Sergey Prikhodko took part in the annual Forum of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as a permanent Knowledge Partner.

On 26 May, Senior Researcher of the Center for Macroeconomics and Finance Vladimir Gromov made a presentation, at a session of the RF State Duma, made a presentation titled 'Individual Tax Preferences: Russian and Foreign Experience'.

On 29 May, InLiberty published the article written by the Gaidar Institute senior researcher Ivan Lyubimov, “Opening for Development”, in which he discusses the inefficiency of the policy of total import substitution and technological isolationism.

On 26 May, Forbes.ru published the article written by  Gaidar Institute senior researcher Ivan Lyubimov, “Feeling embarrassed: Why does Russia not develop exports?”, in which the author tries to find export sectors that would serve as an alternative to the natural resources one, and the ones that can earn high enough revenues in the world market.

On 25–28 May, the Gaidar Institute Press participated in the XII St. Petersburg International Book Fair held in the Mikhailovsky Manege.

On 22–23 May, Irina Starodubrovskaya, Director of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development, took part in the round table “Problems and best practices of counteracting the radicalization of a part of the youth in the North Caucasus” organized by the “Memorial” human rights center and Novaya Gazeta with expert support fr om the International Crisis Group.

On 11–12 April, Oryol hosted Gaidar Readings – “Sustainable Economic Growth: Political and Social Prerequisites”, organized by the Gaidar Institute, the Yegor Gaidar Foundation, and the Central Russian Institute of Management – RANEPA Oryol branch.
