On 25 October, Head of the Tax System Department of  Gaidar Institute Natalia Kornienko took part in the roundtable Effective Tobacco Product Regulation organized by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Ulaanbaatar City.

On 30 October, the Center for Strategic Research published on its website an interview with Scientific Director of  Gaidar Institute Sergei Drobyshevsky titled The People Make Their Choice, where he discussed changes in the banking sector regulation of contemporary Russia, as well as the ways that the crises influenced the population's trust in the entire financial system.

On October 11, Natalia Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Department of  Gaidar Institute took part as a member of the Expert Council in the 2017 Prize awarding ceremony in the field of corporate taxation.

Gaidar Institute press took part in the LIBER-2017 International Book Fair in Madrid where over 450 publishing houses from 11 countries from all over the world, including Russia presented their books.

On September 25, the Gaidar Readings  - “Networking of the Eurasian Economic Union and “One Belt-One Way” Initiatives” – were held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

On October 21 a meeting of  Gaidar Institute Academic Board was held. A report – The Factors and Consequences of Islamic Radicalization (in Terms of North Caucasus) – by Irina V. Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development was given and discussed at the meeting.

On 18 September, Irina Dezhina, Leading Researcher of the Social Services Department took part in the seminar of Committee 23 on Sociology of Science and Technology of the International Sociological Association: “Using Science Policy to Facilitate Innovation, Excellence and Global Cooperation”.

On September 13, Irina Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development of  Gaidar Institute took part in a new seminar “The Caucasus in the Past and at Present (Society, Policy, Economy and Culture)" which was held at the Moscow University for International Relations  (MGIMO).
