On September 25, the Gaidar Readings  - “Networking of the Eurasian Economic Union and “One Belt-One Way” Initiatives” – were held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

On October 21 a meeting of  Gaidar Institute Academic Board was held. A report – The Factors and Consequences of Islamic Radicalization (in Terms of North Caucasus) – by Irina V. Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development was given and discussed at the meeting.

On 18 September, Irina Dezhina, Leading Researcher of the Social Services Department took part in the seminar of Committee 23 on Sociology of Science and Technology of the International Sociological Association: “Using Science Policy to Facilitate Innovation, Excellence and Global Cooperation”.

On September 13, Irina Starodubrovskaya, Head of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development of  Gaidar Institute took part in a new seminar “The Caucasus in the Past and at Present (Society, Policy, Economy and Culture)" which was held at the Moscow University for International Relations  (MGIMO).

On August 31 –September 1, Irina Dezhina, Leading Researcher of the Social Services Department took part in  the 10th International Conference  on Enterprising, Innovations and Regional Development “University-Industry Links: Coproducing Knowledge, Innovation & Growth”, which was held at Thessalonica, Greece.

On August 17, 2017, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Researcher of the Innovation Economy Department addressed the meeting of the Leader Club dedicated to development of the Ryazan Region. The meeting was held in the city of Ryazan.

On 28-30 July, Executive Director of  Gaidar Institute Sergey Prikhodko took part in AMBERFORUM-2017, the international forum of the amber extracting and processing industry, held at Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Oblast.

Early in July 2017, Gaidar Institute’s and the RANEPA’s International Budget Stability Research Laboratory led by Lawrence Kotlikoff, Professor of the Boston University held a regular series of scientific seminars on building of general equilibrium models.  

On 27 July, the web portal Russia of the Future released an interview with Scientific Director of the Gaidar Institute Sergey Drobyshevsky, titled 'Russia Makes Painful But Important Steps Towards an Efficient Economy'. He addressed the prospects for structural reforms in Russia, as well as the efficiency of the RF Central Bank's monetary policy implemented in conditions of high exchange-rate volatility.

On 24 July, Senior Researcher of  Gaidar Institute Sergey Zhavoronkov took part in the Kommersant FM Radio Station's program 'Pro et Contra', which broadcast the discussion of a draft law designed to toughen Russia's anti-corruption legislation.
