We bring to your attention No. 4(179), 2024 of the analytical review “Monitoring of Russia's Economic Outlook. Trends and Challenges of Socio-Economic Development”, which tracks current trends and changes in the Russian economy.

The imposition of a tax on greenhouse gas emissions will be an important step towards improving the quality of life for both present and future generations around the world. Andrey Polbin, Head of the Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes Department at the Gaidar Institute, co-authored a paper on this topic published in the European Economic Review.

In July 2024, Gaidar Institute Press released a new book, as well as second editions of several books published in 2020–2023.

On July 15, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of Legal Department at  Gaidar Institute, took part in the Caucasus Investment Forum in the city of Grozny organized with support of the Rosscongress Fund and AO CAUCASUS.RF.

Employees of the Department of the best international practices analysis at the Gaidar Institute have prepared the next issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy based on research into current and prospective issues of legal regulation of digital technologies and the economy in foreign countries and Russia.

On June 21,  Gaidar Institute  held the “Cantillon Rediscovered” discussion and presented Richard Cantillon’s “Essay on the Nature of Commerce in General” published in 2024.

On June 4, 2024, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the session: “Close cannot work: what do you need to know about the dissolution of endowment funds when they are created?” of the 8^th Forum “Endowments - 2024: the Price of Waiting” sponsored by Vladimir Potanin’s Charitable Foundation.

On June 1–2, at the Rassvet Book Fair,  Gaidar Institute Press presented new book releases for 2024, as well as rare and sought-after publications that were not on sale.

We bring to your attention the 45^th issue of the Review “Russian Economy. Trends and Outlooks" which has been published by the Gaidar Institute since 1991.

In April 2024,  Gaidar Institute Press released two new books.

On April 18, 2024, research associates of  Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Tatyana Ivakhnenko, Elizaveta Martyanova, Anna Maigur and Angelina Shpilevaya -- took part in the Lomonosov Readings-2024 annual conference dedicated to the topic: “Russia’s Human and Social Capital: New Challenges and Opportunities."

On April 15, 2024, experts of  Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Alexey Zamnius, Deni Sugaipov and Anastasia Pankratova -- took part in the "Lomonosov-2024" International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists. The Lomonosov Conference’s main objectives are to promote young scientists’ creative activity, engage them in solution of pressing challenges of modern science, preserve and develop a single international scientific and educational space and establish contacts between future colleagues.

On April 12, 2024, experts of  Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Angelina Shpilevaya, Anna Maigur and Anastasia Pankratova - took part in the 8^th International Economic Symposium dedicated to the 300^th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University.

In March 2024,  Gaidar Institute Press released four new books.

On March 6, 2024, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the meeting of the inter-agency working group on the development of endowment funds in higher education establishments.
