We are pleased to present the 47th edition of the report “The Russian Economy: Trends and Outlooks,” which has been published by the Gaidar Institute since 1991.
The report contains a detailed analysis of the most significant trends in the Russian economy and global trends in socioeconomic development. It consists of five major sections devoted to specific aspects of the Russian economy, which allow readers to track the most significant aspects of ongoing processes and their transformation over the long term: the monetary and fiscal sectors; financial markets and financial institutions; the real sector of the economy; the social sphere; and institutional changes.
The annual review was prepared by a team of authors from the Gaidar Institute and other organizations, using a vast array of statistical data, on the basis of which original calculations and numerous graphical illustrations were produced to support the authors’ conclusions.
