“Anti-recessionary measures have played a positive role in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and their headcount. In particular, loans for wage payments was the measure sought after. Moreover, there are many mid-sized firms in the area of internet trading, delivery that in the wake of pandemic hired specialists in large numbers in major cities. For example, Moscow boasts of 130 additional such firms. Purchases of foodstuffs went up, that’s why new firms popped up in southern regions: 57—in Rostov region and 50—in Krasnodar Krai,” – noted Gaidar Institute expert.
