SERGEY PRIKHODKO TOOK PART IN A CONFERENCE “THE FRONTIERS OF RUSSIA: GEOPOLITICS, REGIONALISM, HISTORICAL MEMORY”
On August 23, Sergey Prikhodko, Executive Director of the Gaidar Institute, took part in a scientific conference “The Frontiers of Russia, Geopolitics, Regionalism, Historical Memory” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Kaliningrad region.
In the plenary session "Modern geopolitical challenges of the Russian borderlands" Sergey Prikhodko voiced the problems and prospects for the development of Russian border regions in the context of modern geopolitical processes, as well as issues of effective implementation of Russia's national interests by border regions in both domestic and foreign policy. Special attention was paid to historical memory, which plays a special role in the formation of all-Russian identity in the border areas.
