On 26 August 2015, Sergey Prikhodko, Gaidar Institute Executive Director, gave an interview to the radio station Kommersant-FM in relation to the adjustment of the Russian economic development with downgrade made by the Ministry of Economic Development.

On 17 August 2015, “Kompanion magazine” released an interview with the Director of the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development Irina Starodubrovskaya. The issue of large cities survival in the wake of the crisis was deliberated.

On 12 August 2015, Director of Center for Political Economy and Regional Development Irina Starodubrovskaya made presentation titled “Radical Islam in Russia. Myths and Reality” at the seminar “Radical Islam in Russia: local and global dimensions”  held in Oslo by Norwegian institute of international relations.

On 10 August 2015, the Russian daily business newspaper Vedomosti published an article (“Currency: the logic of overregulation”) written by Gaidar Institute Academic Supervisor Sergey Sinelnikov-Murylev and  RANEPA researchers Pavel Trunin and Antonina Levashenko, in which the authors review the Russian practice  of effective restrictions for Russian individuals on maintaining accounts with foreign banks outside Russia.

On 30 July-1August, Scientific Director Sergey Drobyshevsky took part in the International conference G20 Think Tanks Summit: Global Governance and Open Economy hosted by the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China. Prof Drobyshevsky gave presentation "Do We Need a Global 'Central Planner' and 'Optimal' Economic Policy for All?"
