On November 12, Dr. Irina Dezhina, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Leading Researcher, Social Services Department, took part in the 49th Annual Convention of the Association for the Study of Slavic Studies in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, held in Chicago (USA) with the report "State reform in science as the main challenge for the Russian scientific community "(Government Reforms in Science as the Major Challenge for the Russian Scientific Community).

On 13 November, Mikhail Khromov, Head of the Financial Study Department of  Gaidar Institute gave an  interview to the Market Online program on the RBK-TV in which the effect both of the Rouble/Dollar exchange rate and global market prices of oil on Russia’s  balance of payments was discussed.

On 7 November, the presentation of a series of books issued by the Gaidar Institute Press to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution was held, hosted by Rector of the RANEPA Vladimir Mau.

On 7 November,  Gaidar Institute held an open seminar where the results of a pilot study on the integration in Russia of migrants from Armenia and Azerbaijan were presented.

On 3 November, Head of the Tax System Department, Candidate of Legal Sciences Natalia Kornienko acted as a session moderator during the conference The Customs Code of the EAEC – New Rules for All, organized by the Kommersant Publishing House and sponsored by the EEC and the FTS Public Council.

On October 26, Dr. Irina Dezhina, Leading Researcher, Social Services Department Center for Institutional Development, Ownership and Corporate Governance took part in the 17th Annual Aleksanteri Conference "The Choice of Russia 2030", held at the University of Helsinki (Finland), with the guest report "Scientific and Innovative policy in Russia: back to the "catch up and overtake" model »(Science and Innovation Policy in Russia: Back to the" Catch up and Overtake "Model).

On 25 October, Head of the Tax System Department of  Gaidar Institute Natalia Kornienko took part in the roundtable Effective Tobacco Product Regulation organized by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Ulaanbaatar City.

On 30 October, the Center for Strategic Research published on its website an interview with Scientific Director of  Gaidar Institute Sergei Drobyshevsky titled The People Make Their Choice, where he discussed changes in the banking sector regulation of contemporary Russia, as well as the ways that the crises influenced the population's trust in the entire financial system.

On 27 October 2017, Head of the Budget Policy Department Sergei Belyov presented a paper titled Tools for Achieving Budget Sustainability at a scientific seminar devoted to budget sustainability issues.

On 27 October, Leading Researcher of  Gaidar Institute Alexey Vedev gave an interview to RBC-TV concerning the reduction of the key rate.

On October 11, Natalia Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Department of  Gaidar Institute took part as a member of the Expert Council in the 2017 Prize awarding ceremony in the field of corporate taxation.

Gaidar Institute press took part in the LIBER-2017 International Book Fair in Madrid where over 450 publishing houses from 11 countries from all over the world, including Russia presented their books.
