The Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook: the Trends and Challenges of the Socioeconomic Development (Issue No.2(63), 2018) which deals with current trends and changes in the Russian economy has recently been published.

On January 30, Alexey Vedev, a leading researcher at  Gaidar Institute, took part in a joint meeting of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (NRCC) and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO).

Participants in  Gaidar Forum’s expert discussion “Russian Economy Macroeconomic Modeling” discussed cross-section analysis issues and macroeconomic forecasting amid changing monetary policy of the RF Central Bank.

Within the framework of the 9th Gaidar Forum, experts discussed the current condition and prospects of the French-Russian cooperation in education and science.

The moderator of the expert discussion: “The Economic Development through Multidisciplinary Outlook” at the 9th Gaidar Forum was Maria Kazakova, Deputy Head of the International Laboratory for Budget Stability Research.

Within the framework of the 9th Gaidar Forum, Pavel Trunin, Head of the Center for Macroeconomics and Finance held the discussion: “Challenges to the Russian Central Bank’s Monetary Policy amid the Inflation Rate Slowdown”.

One of the topics of the expert discussion “The Economic Networking with Trade Partners as a Source of Russian Economic Growth” at the 9th Gaidar Forum was dedicated to identification of Russian economic growth drivers in the foreign trade. The moderator of the discussion was Alexander Knobel, Head of the Foreign Trade Department, Gaidar Institute.

On January 19, a foresight-session within the framework of the “Eurasian Digital Platforms” innovation project contest was held at the venue of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

With profound regret,  Gaidar Institute informs that Professor Vitaly Ivanovich Tsymbal, Doctor of Engineering Science died at the age of 82 on January 18, 2018.

On the third, final day of  Gaidar Forum-2018, a large number of expert discussions with participation of experts of the Gaidar Institute was held.

The morning of the second day of Gaidar Forum 2018 began with several open panel discussions.

On 16 January 2018, the international conference ‘Russia and the World: Values and Virtues’ began its work in Moscow within the framework of Gaidar Forum 2018, traditionally the first major international economic calendar event in Russia.
