On June 14-15, Elena Sinelnikova-Muryleva, Researcher of  Gaidar Institute, took part in the international conference on economy and finance held at the Rimini Economic Analysis Center, Italy, and delivered a presentation “Default forecasting in the Russian banking sector”.

The Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook: the Trends and Challenges of the Socioeconomic Development (Issue No.11(72), 2018) which deals with current trends and changes in the Russian economy has recently been published.

On June 13, RBC published an article headed by Researcher of the Industrial Organization and Infrastructure Economics Department of Gaidar Institute, Andrei Kaukin  "Accuracy of maneuver: how to prevent a jump in fuel prices," in which the author discusses the effectiveness and consequences of tax reform in the oil and oil refining industry, as well as ways to reduce retail fuel prices.

On June 6, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Researcher of the Innovation Economics Department of  Gaidar Institute, delivered a presentation “New Technologies, Potential Unemployment and Nescience Economy in the Russian Regions” at the workshop “Geography of innovation and technological challenges” in the course of international conference “Geography and challenges of the XXI century”.

“New Economic Education” Foundation of  Gaidar Institute took on the role of a strategic partner of the VI International Universities’ Forum “Global Competitiveness”, held in Moscow on June 6th.

 Gaidar Institute Press  takes part in the book festival "Red Square". The literary marathon takes place on Red Square from May 31 to June 3 and ends at Pushkin Square on June 6. Books of the Publishing House of the Gaidar Institute can be purchased in the 4th pavilion Non-fiction.

Anna Kiutsevskaya, Researcher of Monetary Policy Department, delivered a presentation “Specific characteristics of the exchange-rate policy in the inflation targeting countries» at the 22nd international conference on macroeconomic analysis and finance, held at the University of Crete, Rethymno, Greece on May 24-26, 2018.

On May 29-30,  Gaidar Institute participated in the annual Forum of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as a permanent Knowledge Partner of the forum.

On May 24, RBC portal published an article by the senior researcher of  Gaidar Institute Konstantin Kazenin "Language for school: what is the problem of amendments to the law on education".

On May 24, the scientific leader of Gaidar Institute Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev acted as a participant in the panel discussion "Digital Economy and Education. Changing the paradigm ", held in the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2018.

On May 21, IA TASS published an interview with Irina Starodubrovskaya, Head of Center for Political Economy and Regional Development, in which the consequences of urbanization for the North Caucasus were discussed.

Gaidar Institute  Press took part in the XIII International Book Salon, held in St. Petersburg on May 17-20. At the Salon a new book was presented : Perry Anderson "Peripeteia hegemony."

On May 14, the executive director of  Gaidar Institute Sergei Prikhodko and the leading research assistant of the Institute of Nuclear Energy, former Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexei Vedev, took part in the 11th Baltic States Forum on the topic "Cooperation of the Baltic Sea Region in Difficult Times" in Turku ).
