NATALIA KORNIENKO TOOK PART IN THE WORK WITH PERSONAL DATA CONFERENCE
Natalia Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Development Department, the Gaidar Institute was the moderator of the “Protection of Personal Data in the Digital World: Practice” session at the 2nd Annual Conference: “Work with Personal Data: New Security Rules in the Digital World".
The conference sponsored by the Sobytie Conference Center was held in Moscow on October 17. Participants in the debates included Yekaterina Portman, Manager of the Personal Data Department, Deloitte, Dmitri Manannikov, Director for Security and Risk Management, OBI, Maxim Lagutin, Founder and Expert in Personal Data Protection, B-152 and Alexei Muntyan, independent expert.
Experts discussed the legal aspect s of the Russian and international legislation on protection of personal data and described different approaches to this issue in the legislation of the CIS and EEA countries. Also, experts touched upon current risks to privacy protection and digital literacy rules, as well as individuals’ rights to personal data protection and enforcement thereof.
