ISSUE No. 52 OF THE “VESTNIK EVROPY” MAGAZINE WAS PRESENTED AT SHANINKA (THE MOSCOW SCHOOL OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL SCIENCES)

On March 2nd , 2020, issue №52 of the “Vestnik Evropy” magazine was presented at Shaninka (The Moscow School of Social and Political Sciences) with the Gaidar Institute becoming a co-founder of this publication.

The issue is devoted to three topics: 10 years without Gaidar (modern politics), Greece and new Russian literature.

“Vestnik Evropy” (Вѣстникъ Европы) is the oldest Russian periodic magazine published in Moscow in 1802–1830. Nikolay M. Karamzin was its Editor-in-Chief.

“Vestnik Evropy” (Вѣстникъ Европы) is a Russian literary political magazine upholding moderate liberal positions, published in St. Petersburg from 1866 until 1918 as a follow up of the tradition of the self-named magazine established in 1802 by Nikolay M.Karamzin. Mikhail M. Stasyulevich was its Editor-in-Chief and publisher from 1866 until 1908. The magazine focused primarily on history and politics.

Publishing of the “Vestnik Evropy” magazine was resumed in 2001 by Egor Gaidar, Ekaterina Genieva and Viktor Yaroshenko.
