ALEXEY VEDEV TOOK PART IN THE MEETING OF THE UN RAS SCIENTIFIC AND ADVISORY COUNCIL

March 4, 2023 Alexey Vedev, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Financial Studies Department of the Gaidar Institute, took part in a meeting of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Social Sciences Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences on legal, psychological and socio-economic problems of society, dedicated to the forecast for the development of the Russian economy in 2023


In his report "Forecast of the socio-economic development of Russia in 2023-2025." Alexey Vedev identified key factors that will affect the macroeconomic situation in the country, including sanctions, demand for Russian energy resources, the development of the B2B sector, as well as stimulating government policies. According to Aleksey Vedev, in 2023, demand stagnation can be expected to continue as the main deinflationary factor with low disposable incomes of the population, progress in import substitution will be very modest, but the economic downturn will be relatively small.
