ALEXANDER DERYUGIN: “DENOMINATION HAS NO SENSE IN THE CURRENT SITUATION”

The subject of denomination has been debated for a week on the information agenda. Alexander Deryugin, Researcher, Budget Policy Department, the Gaidar Institute, commented to IA “Federal Press”, whether it is really worth to expect the Ruble reform.

The expert of the Gaidar Institute believes: “Denomination has no either economic or political substance for the time being. The inflation should be high to support the need for denomination. Many countries outside the Eurozone have currencies that are cheaper than the US Dollar or Euro, and no one wants to compete with this indicator. Many will find it difficult to change; the denomination will disorient people”.
