Workshop “Designing the mechanism of implementation by the RF Federal Tax Service of activities on debt collection from foreign debtors to RF, including those residing beyond the RF territory”

Participants in the workshop discussed the following issues:  the current situation with satisfaction of claims on tax payments from foreign legal entities;  employment of overseas experiences in this area (assistance) and the respective interaction between countries; avenues of improvement of the RF law in the area in question and the respective interaction.

Presentations were delivered by the Head of Gaidar Institute’s Department of development of tax system Natalia Kornienko, senior research fellows Elena Velikova, Margarita Esipova and Antonina Levashenko .

Discussants were Sergei Shatalov, Deputy Minister of Finance; Alexey Overchuk, Adviser to the Head of FTS; Kirill Yankov, Deputy Head of FTS; Ilya Trounin, Director of the Department of the Tax and Customs and Tariff policy of the RF Ministry of Finance; Georgy Koltashov, Head of Division of Regulation of debts and provision of bankrupcy procedures,  representatives from the RF Ministry of Finance, FTS, and researchers from Gaidar Institute.
