The Gaidar Institute published Research Paper No. 186, Macroeconomic Policy and Methods of Economic Forecasting

The Gaidar Institute presents a new issue in its series of research papers in the format of a peer-reviewed collective monograph. Volume No. 186 is devoted to a comprehensive study of the relationship between macroeconomic policy and methods of economic forecasting.

Modern macroeconomic policy requires the use of complex analytical tools that make it possible to assess the consequences of decisions and forecast the development of economic processes. Economic-mathematical modeling and modern data analysis methods are becoming important tools for studying macroeconomic dynamics.

The papers presented in this volume examine various aspects of macroeconomic analysis: the interaction of economic policy instruments, the modeling of taxation and pension systems, and methods for forecasting economic indicators. The use of modern data analysis and machine learning methods opens up new opportunities for improving the accuracy of economic forecasts and deepening the analysis of economic processes.

Taken together, these studies demonstrate the development of the methodological toolkit of modern macroeconomics. The full text of Research Paper No. 186 is available in the Publications section on the Gaidar Institute’s website.
