Gaidar Readings in Kaliningrad

On October 25-26, 2012,  Gaidar Readings on The Issues and Prospects of Social and Economic Development of Border Regions: Experience of Russia’ North-West and Close Neighbors organized by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the Gaidar Fund will be held in Kaliningrad. The readings will take place at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.

The Gaidar Readings on the most topical issues of the present-day development have been held on a regular basis since 2010 both in Moscow and other Russian regions: the city of Arzamas (the Nizhny Novgorod Region), Pyatigorsk (the Stavropol Region) and the city of Ulan-Ude (the Republic of Buryatia). The readings are attended by representatives of federal ministries and departments, heads of federal districts, constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local governments, leading researchers, experts and representatives of public organizations.
The format of Gaidar readings includes reports, debates, round tables and seminars.
