From October 8 to 11, 2025, the VIII Interregional Investment and Financial Forum was held in Kaliningrad, bringing together representatives of the financial and real sectors of the economy, government authorities, the scientific community, and business. Alexey Vedev, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Leading Researcher at the Financial Research Department of the Gaidar Institute, took part in the forum.
During the session “The Current Economic Situation in Russia and Worldwide, Forecasts for the Near and Medium Term,” Dr. Vedev presented a report on the development of the Russian economy in the medium term. In his presentation, he examined the key challenges and opportunities facing the Russian economy and outlined possible scenarios for adaptation in the context of the formation of a new model of economic growth.
During the discussion, forum participants addressed topical issues of cooperation between financial and real sector organizations, effective tools for investing in business development programs, and mechanisms for supporting sustainable economic growth in the current environment.
