Alexei Vedev Took Part in the 6th Russian-Norwegian Business Forum: “The Economy of the Sea. Innovations in New Realities”

On 18 October, the 6th Russian-Norwegian Business Forum: “The Economy of the Sea. Innovations in New Realities” sponsored by the Russian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation was held.

Alexei Vedev, Leading Researcher of the Financial Studies Department, the Gaidar Institute,  took part in the panel discussion – “The Russian Economy: Reforms and Development” --  which dealt with macroeconomic trends in Russia, new approaches in Russia’s policy in respect of small and mid-size businesses, measures on promotion of cooperation with Eurasia, priorities and plans of the new Russian government, cooperation with foreign states and Norway, in particular, as well as Russia’s growing interest to the Arctic Region.In his report, Alexei Vedev touched upon the main parameters of the government’s baseline scenario of the socioeconomic development of the Russian Federation till 2024, as well as risks of a failure to  achieve key targets set in Decree No.204 of 7 May 2018 of the President of the Russian Federation “On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Development of the Russian Federation in the Period till 2024”.
