Gaidar Institute Press has been nominated for the annual Grushin Prize. Bertrand Russell's “Power: A New Social Analysis” translated by Dmitry Kralechkin was shortlisted in the Best Translation category.
The Grushin Prize is the first and only award in Russia for achievements in the field of sociological literature. It was established in 2020 by the National Research University Higher School of Economics, MVSHSEN (Shaninka) and AC VTsIOM.
The prize is awarded in four nominations and the entry of Bertrand Russell's book in the final of the "Best Translation" nomination is evidence of the high level of the Gaidar Institute’s publishing activity.
The award ceremony will take place on November 14, the Sociologist's Day, at the Shaninka Library.
