President Vladimir Putin sent his welcoming letter to the participants and sponsors of the XII Gaidar Forum “Russia and the World after the Pandemic”. The telegram was published on the Kremlin’s website on Thursday, reported the TASS News Agency.

“Your traditional meetings always gather a large and respectable audience, offer a significant agenda and set the tone for expert discussion of the entire range of issues which are of priority for Russia and other countries”, the telegram reads.

President Vladimir Putin noted that amid the coronavirus pandemic this Forum’s topic was particularly important and relevant. “At present, it is necessary for us to draw a lesson from the defined challenges, work not only on recovery of business activity and the labor market, but also facilitate quality development across all lines, including promotion of households’ income growth, solution of infrastructure and ecological issues and introduction of advanced digital technologies in all sectors”, the Russian leader added.

President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the Forum would be successful and its participants would be able to exchange their views and experience and put forward comprehensive initiatives and guidelines which could be widely applied in practice.
