THE GAIDAR INSTITUTE SUMMED UP THE RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION FOR THE BEST FINAL QUALIFYING WORK

The “Yegor Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy” Fund summed up the results of the Competition for the Best Final Qualifying Work in Economics  in 2022 among graduates of Russian economic universities and departments of economics of higher education establishments. Around 200 graduates, economists who defended their diploma thesis in economics in 2022, took part in the competition.

After considering all final qualifying papers submitted to the competition, the commission resolved the following:

• Award the First Prize to Rafael Anvarovich Akhtemzyanov, graduate of the Lomonosov Moscow State University for his final qualifying paper: “Economic Evaluation of “Punishment” for Loneliness in Russia: Risks or New Opportunities in Life?”;

•    Award two Second Prizes to:

Tatyana Yurievna Ivakhnenko, graduate of the Lomonosov Moscow State University for her final qualifying paper: “Econometric Evaluation of the Effect of Natural Endowments on Income Inequality in Russian Regions”;

-  Danila Anatolyevich Lomonosov, graduate of FGBOU VO “Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration” for his final qualifying paper: “Evaluation of Macroeconomic Effects of Oil Market Shocks on the Russian Economy”;

•    Award three Third Prizes to:

– Bobrovskaya Yekaterina Dmitrievna, graduate of FGBOU VO “Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration” for her final qualifying paper: “Econometric Modelling of the Short-Term Housing Rent Market in the Sharing Economy” (on the example of Airbnb in Moscow)”;

– Vasilieva Galina Alexeyevna, graduate of FGAOU VO “RUDN University” for her final qualifying paper: “Smart Cities: Chinese Experience”;

– Vladimir Alexeyevich Kuzmin, graduate of FGAOU VO “National Research University “Higher School of Economics” for his final qualifying paper: “The Effect of the Global Technological Split on Leadership in the Global Economy on the Example of Developed Western and Developing Asian Countries”.
