Sergey Prikhodko Represents the Gaidar Institute at AMBERFORUM-2017

On 28-30 July, Executive Director of the Gaidar Institute Sergey Prikhodko took part in AMBERFORUM-2017, the international forum of the amber extracting and processing industry, held at Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Oblast.

The goal of the forum is to create in Kaliningrad Oblast a unique international discussion and exhibition floor for cooperation and exchange of experience between the professional and expert communities of Russia, Europe, and other countries of the near and far abroad.

Sergey Prikhodko participated in the plenary meeting Economy Development Drivers. Clusters. Small and Medium Businesses and acted as moderator of the roundtable Investment Attractiveness and Innovations.

As is well known, the investment attractiveness of projects depends on multiple factors, among which the ability of an entrepreneur to appropriately 'package' his projects is also of paramount importance. Today, there exist ample opportunities for receiving government support through various development institutions and corporations, including the Federal Corporation for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship (Corporation MSP), the Industrial Development Fund, and the Russian Export Center; and the development institutions can also pool their efforts. Kaliningrad Oblast is justly believed to be a very promising investment site thanks to its unique geographic situation.

The forum hosted an exhibition, which provided representatives of small and medium-sized businesses with an excellent opportunity to present their products.
