Ilya Sokolov: Excise Receipts to the Budget No More than 0.4% of GDP

On October 17, the head of the budget policy workshop of the Gaidar Institute, Ilya Sokolov, participated in a round table on the topic: "Conquering Alcohol Abuse in Russia: Utopia or Reality?".

The event was organized by the autonomous non-profit organization "National Center for the Monitoring of Public Health and Advocacy of Healthy Lifestyles", managed by the "One Society" Foundation.

Initiatives were discussed at the round table for increasing the effectiveness of measures for decreasing alcohol use and preventive measures for abuse among the Russian population. International efforts against alcohol abuse were also discussed.
