On April 18, 2024, research associates of the Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Tatyana Ivakhnenko, Elizaveta Martyanova, Anna Maigur and Angelina Shpilevaya -- took part in the Lomonosov Readings-2024 annual conference dedicated to the topic: “Russia’s Human and Social Capital: New Challenges and Opportunities."

On April 15, 2024, experts of the Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Alexey Zamnius, Deni Sugaipov and Anastasia Pankratova -- took part in the "Lomonosov-2024" International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists. The Lomonosov Conference’s main objectives are to promote young scientists’ creative activity, engage them in solution of pressing challenges of modern science, preserve and develop a single international scientific and educational space and establish contacts between future colleagues.

On April 12, 2024, experts of the Gaidar Institute’s Department of Mathematical Modeling of Economic Processes -- Angelina Shpilevaya, Anna Maigur and Anastasia Pankratova - took part in the 8^th International Economic Symposium dedicated to the 300^th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University.

On March 6, 2024, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department of the Gaidar Institute took part in the meeting of the inter-agency working group on the development of endowment funds in higher education establishments.

Jointly with the ANO Information Culture, the Gaidar Institute has launched “The Digital Public Finances and Public Administration Archive”, a new public project which is available at FinLibrary.ru. The project’s initiator is Alexei Kudrin, Advisor on the Yandex corporate development and a member of the Gaidar Institute’s Board of Trustees.

Starting from 2024, the Gaidar Institute will launch a monthly Monitoring of international trends in legal regulation in digital economy. This work will allow to promptly identify the most striking developments in the regulation of digital economy in the world, while scientific and expert assessment of such trends will help determine how this or that phenomenon will affect the industry in our country.

On February 15, 2024, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Gaidar Institute. The main agenda of the event was Ph.D. completion seminar of the research "Robust Inference in Non-Stationary Time Series" by Anton Skrobotov, Senior Researcher at the Short-Term Forecasting Department of the Center for Institutional Development, Ownership and Corporate Governance.

In February 2024, the Gaidar Institute Press released four new books.

Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department at the Gaidar Institute, took part in the VIII Academic Fundraising Forum “Fundraising in the changing world: diversification of sources and approaches” held on November 24–25 in the Urals Federal University supported by National Endowment Association.  

Dr.Alexei Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department at the Gaidar Institute, former Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, on the YouTube channel of the special project "Economics and Finance" with Alexei Mamontov (a joint project of Finversia and "Find Mammoth" channels), focused, among other things, on four factors that will determine the development of the Russian economy in the next 2-3 years: sanctions, foreign trade, "murky" Business-to-business schemes and economic policy.

On September 27, Alexei Vedev, Board Member of the VEO of Russia, Head of the Financial Studies Department of the Gaidar Institute took part in the Abalkin Readings scientific forum on the theme “Consensus Approach: What Awaits Russia’s Economy?” held at the House of the Economist. The event was sponsored by the Free Economic Society of Russia, the Economics Section of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific Coordination Council on Socioeconomic Forecasting, RAS.

On September 20, Alexey Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department at the Gaidar Institute, spoke at the foresight conference ”From 2013-2023 to 2024-2030” dedicated to the 10^th year anniversary of the Center for Infrastructure Economics (CIE).

On September 15-17, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of Legal Department at the Gaidar Institute, took part in the first All-Russia Endowment meeting in Norilsk, organized by the Nash Norilsk Endowment Fund.
