ALEXEI VEDEV TOOK PART IN THE “RUSSIAN ECONOMY AND FINANCES: RESULTS OF THE CHALLENGING YEAR” VIDEO MARATHON

On December 20, Alexei Vedev, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Financial Studies Department of the Gaidar Institute participated in the online “Russian Economy and Finances: Results of the Challenging Year” video marathon sponsored jointly by the Naidi Mamonta channel and the Finversia channel.

In his speech, Alexei Vedev touched upon the main results of 2022. He noted, in particular, that the outgoing 2021 year was very challenging, but despite a record-high number of large-scale sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation by various countries the Russian economy remained sustainable both in the financial and real sectors.

Аlexei Vedev emphasized that the Russian economy needed effective and timely government support measures.

Prominent experts, analysts, macro-economists, bankers, stockbrokers, investors and financial market theorists and practitioners took part in the debates.
