The first part of the study presents a theoretical overview of classical models of corporate governance. The second part examines general trends in the development of corporate governance in post-socialist economies (the impact of privatization, the role of “entrenched management,” etc.), as well as recent trends in the development of the corporate sector in Russia, including in the context of the specific features of the national model.
