After his departure from the Institute:

2004-2008 – Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Director of the Socio-economic Strategy Department;
2008-2011 – Troika Dialog Group, Vice President for issues concerned with managing the direct investment funds of Troika Capital Partners;
2011-2013 – The Savings Bank of the Russian Federation OJSC (Sberbank of Russia), Managing Director – Head of the Agency for State and Municipal Projects and Programs.

In February 2009, Mr. Sayid B. Batkibekov was included in the ‘top 100’ of the RF President’s Reserve of Management Cadre.

Mr. Sayid B. Batkibekov died on 5 April,2013.
