NATALIA SHAGAIDA SPOKE ABOUT THE PROGRAM OF FOOD AID FOR THE LEAST WELL-OFF RUSSIANS

On February 3, Natalia Shagaida, Head of Agrarian Department of the Gaidar Institute, took part in the round table discussion on the subject: “Agrarian export: domestic market and export development” organized by the Center for Strategic Research (CSR).

In her presentation, Natalia Shagaida shared her opinion on the importance of food support for families in need. She noted that 30% of the population fail to ensure rational standards of consumption in the prices of their respective groups. The support amounting to nearly Rub 400 billion annually is required to ensure these standards, however, this will not become a stimulating factor for the development of the food sector.
